If you prefer to shop online, do compare shipping, handling and tax charges as well so that you are sure you are comparing apples to apples.

While big brand department stores like Bloomingdales and Macy’s may not have a reduction in the price of the designer fragrance   nor can you use a coupon on it, you can often get yourself a neat deal with a beautiful tote bag, full size lipstick, samples of some other designer products and a few bonus items too. Lancôme, Clinique and Estee Lauder often run such specials in big stores where you can get a nice present for yourself in the same amount spent.

Many designer fragrances especially near major holidays like Christmas and Valentine’s Day offer their colognes and perfumes in gift sets. Not only are they beautifully boxed, you also get more value for your money. For around the same amount of money you would spend on a bottle of perfume, you can get a matching scent shower gel and body lotion thrown in for free. The gift looks bigger, well coordinated and lasts longer as the recipient gets to use three products instead of one.
